Aftershock Run Privacy Policy

The short version

Aftershock Run has no ads and no tracking. If you create an account, we store your email, runner name, game progress (scores, coins, skins and songs you unlocked) and basic play statistics so the game works on any device. You can delete your account and this data at any time from inside the game.

Your account

You can play as a guest or create an account with your email address and a password. Accounts are run by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see your password. Guests get a random account ID with no email attached.

What we store

We use this to run the game: keeping your progress, showing leaderboards and friends, and understanding how the game is played so we can improve it. We email you news only if you ticked the box when signing up. Other players can see your runner name, chosen skin, friend code, friend list and scores; they cannot see your email or coins. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else. Google processes it for us as our service provider (Firebase privacy information).

Chat, comments and replays

If you post in chat, comment on a leaderboard or replay, or save a replay, we store what you posted, when, your runner name and character, and (for replays) a recording of your taps, jumps and slides with their timing so the run can be played back. Other players can see these. If you like a replay, we store that too. Links and phone numbers are removed from messages automatically. Don't share personal information in chat; it isn't private.

If you report a post, we store your report (what was reported, why and when) so we can review it. If you block a player, we store that on your account so their posts stay hidden. We may remove posts and stop accounts from posting when they break the rules.

Coins and purchases

Coins are earned by playing and have no cash value. If we later sell coins or items for real money, payment is handled by Apple or Google; we receive a record of what you bought, never your card details.

Artists who send us music

If you send us a song through our artist page, we store your email, artist name, contact details, the track details and the audio file you upload so we can review it. Only we can see submissions. We will only add your song to the game with your permission. If your song is approved and you sign our artist agreement, we also store your legal name, the plan you chose and when you signed. Subscription payments are handled by our payment provider (Stripe); we never see your full card details.

Settings on your device

Your game settings, timing calibration and a copy of your progress are also stored on your device so the game starts quickly and works offline.

Inviting friends

When you tap Discord, Instagram, Facebook or the share button, the game copies an invite message with your friend code and opens that app or your phone's share sheet. The game never connects to your accounts on those services, reads your contacts or sees who you send the invite to.

Deleting your data

In the game, go to Settings → Delete my online profile. This deletes your account, email, runner name, progress, statistics, friend list, scores, chat messages, comments, likes, reports and saved replays from our servers straight away. Uninstalling the game removes everything stored on your device. You can also email ghoustlysavage@gmail.com and we will delete your data within 30 days.

Children

Aftershock Run is not directed at children under 13. Creating an account requires confirming you are 13 or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the game.
